Armenian government cooperates with international organizations to mitigate the impact of crisis

PanARMENIAN.Net - RA Prime Minister Tigran Sargsyan today participated in the opening of a three-day international forum "Impact of the Global Financial Crisis on Armenia: Short and Long-run Perspectives.". Forum was organized by the Group of the Armenian International Policy Research Group".



Welcoming the participants of the forum, Tigran Sargsyan dwelled on the process of turning Armenia into an open economic system.



The Prime Minister briefly introduced the essence of anti-crisis policy of the government and steps projected for the near future.



He noted that the economic downturn of the past five months was caused by the sharp reduction of construction volumes in the country. The downturn can still continue, he stressed, and improvements can be expected by the end of this year.
