OPEC FID Director-General awarded Anania Shirakatsi orderJuly 15, 2009 - 13:45 AMT PanARMENIAN.Net - Armenian President Serzh Sargsyan met Tuesday with Director-General of the OPEC Fund for International Development, Suleiman Jasir Al-Herbish and the delegation led by him, the RA leader's press office reported. The OPEC Fund for International Development has been assisting Armenia since 2004. Two credit programs amounting to $15 million has been implemented so far. The programs mostly aimed at poverty reduction, rural areas development and restoration of infrastructure. In December 2007, a $14-million agreement was signed to intensify rural areas development. Given the activities of the OPEC Fund for International Development in Armenia, President Sargsyan awarded Suleiman Jasir Al-Herbish with Anania Shirakatsi order.
