Specialized education demand of labor market

PanARMENIAN.Net - A project aimed at development of specialized secondary education is being implemented in Armenia. The project will last 3 years, with a budget totaling 15 million euro.

"Special council consisting of officials of the RA Ministry of Education and Science, representatives of business and labor unions was formed for the purpose. Besides, a special center is developing the methodology," said Ara Avetisyan, Deputy Minister of Education.

12 specialized secondary schools function in Armenia at present. Over 140 specialties are taught there.

"The number of entrants has doubled since last year. It means that specialized education is a demand of labor market," Avetisyan said.
