IMF: World economy registers tendency towards stabilization

PanARMENIAN.Net - World economy registers tendency towards stabilization, International Monetary Fund representative in Armenia, Nienke Oomes stated. "World economy restoration is a slow process, yet economists around the world believe that tendency towards stabilization is evident, specifically in Russia and Europe," she said.

World price increase for copper and molybdenum proves the restoration process has already started. "Copper and molybdenum price increase will benefit Armenia, as an exporter," she noted.

According to Oomes, national currency devaluation in March played into exporters' hands. Mining companies, which stood idle, have already started production work.
