Number of flaws at SCRW decreased by 46 during 8 months of 2009

PanARMENIAN.Net - According to report provided by South Caucasian Railways CJSC traffic safety department, the number of flaws at SCRW decreased by 46 during 8 months of 2009, SCRW press service reported.



The number of flaws in 2009 decreased to 169, compared with 215 cases in 2008.



According to SCRW Chief Inspector for traffic safety, Levon Hakobyan, shortcomings' reduction is a result of active work conducted by company specialists towards increasing safety. "We regularly conduct safety monitoring and take preventive measures to exclude flaws," he noted.



South Caucasian Railways a 100% branch of Russian Railways Public Corporation. Armenian railways were transmitted into concessionary administration of South Caucasian railways in accordance with Feb. 13, 2008 concessionary agreement. The term of Concessionary agreement is 30 years with 20 years of prolongation right.
