Russia and Armenia discuss the possibility of providing new aircrafts to Armenian air companies

PanARMENIAN.Net - On September 25, 2009 eleventh meeting of the intergovernmental commission on economic cooperation between Russia and Armenia took place in Yaroslavl.



The Armenian delegation was headed by the the Armenian prime minister Tigran Sargsyan, and Russia's delegation was headed by Russia's transport minister Igor Levitin. 



The officials discussed issues of cooperation in the spheres of transport, communications and information technology. An expert meeting has been scheduled to discuss delivery of new passenger and cargo aircrafts to Armenia's airlines.

A contract on the supply of Sukhoi SuperJet 100 two modern regional aircrafts to Armavia has already been concluded.

 

A draft general agreement between "Gazprom Oil" and the government of Armenia has been prepared to supply will aviation fuel the RA ministry of defense and Armavia, press service of the Russia's ministry of transport reports. The next meeting of the commission will be held in Moscow.
