Smuggling of weapons repressed in Armenia

PanARMENIAN.Net - Personnel of the Department for combat to smuggling and control of the State Revenue Committee of Armenia found a large amount of unregistered goods at the warehouse "Dziunik-Sarnaran"of the customs, press service of the State Revenue Committee reports.



Pistol Walther, as well as different types of alcoholic drinks, expensive jewelry, wrist watches and paintings have been found at the warehouse.



According to the Article 47 of the Customs Code, weapons and ammunition are subject to restrictions turnover, and their import, regardless of amount is considered to be contraband, if there is no permission. The contraband was found in the luggage weighing about 4,5 tons sent from the United States to the citizen Narine Karaseferyan.
