Yerevan to host discussion on Development of Demand Infrastructure

PanARMENIAN.Net - Yerevan will host a seminar on the "Development of a Demand-led Quality Infrastructure in Armenia," AEPLAC press service reports.



The main goal is to create a coherent understanding of the reform needs in the sector in view of the future Deep and Comprehensive Free Trade Agreement with the EU. Discussion will focus on the creation of quality infrastructures complying with international standards, as well as product accreditation and metrological and technical correspondence.



Deep and Comprehensive Free Trade Agreement, which envisages free access of Armenian products into EU, sets distinct standards to comply with in order to ensure the safety and quality of products, says the release.



Seminar organizers are Armenian-European Policy and Legal Advice Centre (AEPLAC) and RA Economy Ministry jointly with EU Advisory Group and German Institute of Metrology (PTB).



Seminar will bring together decision-makers from relevant government structures , representatives of leading testing laboratories, enterprises chambers of commerce, as well as international donor organizations.
