EU to assist Armenia in creating frontier defense substructures

PanARMENIAN.Net - On October 28, Secretary of RA National Security Council Arthur Baghdasaryan met with Peter Semneby, EU Special Representative for South Caucasus. Parties discussed issues concerning Armenia-EU cooperation. Arthur Baghdasaryan attached special importance to developing and extending relations.



In the context of "Eastern Partnership" program, parties considered possibilities of assisting Armenia in creating frontier defense substructures.



In his turn, Peter Semneby highly assessed the level of political dialogue between Armenia and EU.



Parties also touched upon problems in the region, attaching special importance to normalization of Armenian-Turkish ties and ratification of recently signed Protocols. Semneby reiterated Union's willingness to support both countries in normalization of ties, NSC press service reports.
