Turkey unties Israel's hands in policy towards Armenia

PanARMENIAN.Net - "I have a lot of obligations in Parliament, but if none of parliamentarians takes charge of Israel-Armenia parliamentary group, I'd be pleased to do that myself as I find it important." Head of Likud Israeli ruling coalition party Zeev Elkin said.

There is a thaw between Armenia and Turkey on the one hand, but on the other hand, Turkey undertakes a lot of anti-Israeli steps, untying Israel's hands for conducting a more balanced policy towards Armenia, Israeli parliamentarian said. "More important is progress in the sphere of air communication. If there were a Yerevan-Tel-Aviv direct flight that would also be a good chance for both tourism and Armenian community of Israel," IZRUS quotes Elkin as saying.
