Minibus fare not to be raised in Armenia

PanARMENIAN.Net - Increase of minibus taxis' fare is not economically justified, RA Transport and Communications Minister Gurgen Sargsyan told a press conference in Yerevan todat. According to him, this year representatives of 18 companies engaged in passenger transportation applied to the ministry with requests to raise the fares, explaining that current tariffs do not reflect existing market prices. According to Gurgen Sargsyan, ministry required them to provide economic justification for higher prices for travel. "However, none of these 18 companies provided adequate reasons, so the prices of travel will not be increased," he said.
