Turkey will never sacrifice relations with NATO

PanARMENIAN.Net - Turkey will never sacrifice relations with NATO, according to professor Ruben Safrastyan, director of RA NAS Institute of Oriental Studies.

"Despite efforts to normalize ties with Iran and Syria, Turkey will never jeopardize it membership of NATO," he said when responding to a PanARMENIAN.Net reporter's question at a news conference in Yerevan.

"Historical, military and political problems between Turkey and Iran will never allow their relations to develop into alliance," prof. Safrastyan said.
