  2.8 magnitude earthquake shakes Nagorno KarabakhDecember 14, 2009 - 12:07 AMT PanARMENIAN.Net - Nagorno Karabakh was shaken up by an earthquake Monday morning.The tremor hit 9 km southwest from Karvachar town at 5:52 am weighing in on the Richter scale at a 2.8 magnitude, said Hrachya Petrosyan, deputy chief of RA National Survey for Seismic Protection told PanARMENIAN.Net No injuries or damages have been called.   Top stories Authorities said a total of 192 Azerbaijani troops were killed and 511 were wounded during Azerbaijan’s offensive. In 2023, the Azerbaijani government will increase the country’s defense budget by more than 1.1 billion manats ($650 million). The earthquake caused a temporary blackout, damaged many buildings and closed a number of rural roads.
