Tensions between Israel and Turkey strong

PanARMENIAN.Net - At present, tensions between Israel and Turkey are strong enough, Alexander Sotnichenko, leading expert of St. Petersburg Center for Study of Contemporary Middle East told a PanARMENIAN.Net reporter. According to him, this is conditioned by the new Turkish-Islamic identity proclaimed by the ruling Justice and Development Party in Turkey.

"For the current Ankara to maintain friendly relations with the great Arab world is more beneficial than with Israel. However, according to opposition, despite the anti-Israeli statements made by Recep Tayyip Erdogan over the past 8 years, the volume of foreign trade with Israel has doubled," the expert said.
