Aronian to take part in Linares chess 2009

PanARMENIAN.Net - Armenian grandmaster Levon Aronian will take part in Linares chess 2009 that will take place February 18 - March 8, 2009, in Linares, Spain.



The 26th edition of Torneo Internacional "Ciudad de Linares" will be played only in Spain. The Morelia site will not be on the agenda this year, but the organizers have confirmed that in 2010 the Mexican city will rejoin the competition again.



The closing and awarding ceremony is due on March 8.



The full list of participants: Viswanathan Anand (India), Magnus Carlsen (Norway), Vassily Ivanchuk (Ukraine), Levon Aronian (Armenia), Teimour Radjabov(Azrtbaijan), Wang Yue (China), Alexander Grischuk (Russia) and Lenier Dominguez (Cuba).



Levon Aronian is the winner of 2006 tournament. Last year he was the 3rd.
