Coca-Cola Hellenic Bottling Company Armenia celebrates the 20th anniversary of its activity in our country. On this occasion, the Company gathered its partners, employees, clients, representatives of the Government, diplomatic missions, NGOs, management of other affiliates, as well as people close to the company.

PanARMENIAN.Net - Coca-Cola Hellenic Armenia, a subsidiary of one of the world’s largest producers of soft drinks, offers a large portfolio of non-alcoholic beverages to the Armenian consumer, as the sole authorized bottler of the Coca-Cola drinks in our country. The activity and achievements reached over the 20 years were summarized during the event held on May 10.

In 20 years the Company has invested more than AMD 21.5 billion, contributing to the development of the Armenian economy. The large team of more than 300 specialists is directly engaged in the daily activity of Coca-Cola Hellenic Armenia, while more than 11.000 clients help quickly deliver its products to consumers. As Sayyora Ayupova, the General Manager of Coca-Cola Hellenic Armenia, mentioned during the event, employees are the Company's main asset.

"We employ university graduates and send them abroad to study and bring the best practices to Armenia. Of course, there are some difficulties in Armenia as well as other countries of the region, however, we focus on the opportunities."

In his turn, while referring to the activity of the Company in the Hellenic Group, Regional Director of Coca-Cola Hellenic Company Keith Sanders, said that Coca-Cola Hellenic Armenia is an important member of the family.

“We are proud of the achievements of our Armenian team. Thanks to the efforts of its professionals, drinks produced by the Company, operating in Armenia for already 20 years, are distinguished by their high quality, in line with the best international standards” said Sanders, wishing new accomplishments to Coca-Cola Hellenic Armenia, on the occasion of its 20th anniversary.

The event was attended by Arsen Ghazaryan, President of The Union of Manufacturers and Businessmen of Armenia, who awarded the Company with the Gold Medal of the Manufacturers and Businessmen of Armenia, emphasizing that the monitoring team of the Union has analyzed the market and the sector and distinguished the results as well as implemented activities of Coca-Cola Hellenic Armenia in the field of reproduction of natural resources, energy saving, local community development and promotion of active and healthy lifestyle among the country’s population.

“Entering the Armenian market in 1996, this American brand raised the standards of the quality, customer service, field work, work in the legal domain, as well as the social responsibility. The company not only produces, sells and makes profit, but is also seriously engaged in the protection of the environment, rational use of water resources, community development "said Ghazaryan, adding "it also provides a refreshing pleasure”.

Head of Yerevan city Kentron administrative district Ara Sadoyan said, in turn, that in 2014 a playground opened in the city center, in the framework of the Coca-Cola Hellenic Armenia community development projects.

“Activities initiated and implemented by the Company are highly commendable. Coca-Cola Hellenic Armenia is a big international company that plays a major role in the development of Armenia’s economy and that of Yerevan,” Sadoyan noted.

Deputy Minister of Economy Garegin Melkonyan was as well among the guests. He noted that the activity of large international organizations such as Coca-Cola Hellenic Armenia introduces a new business culture in the country.

“Throughout its 20-year activity the Company has not only proved that international corporations can over the years develop their businesses in Armenia, but as well set an example for others.”

Constantinos Spanoudis who ran the Armenia-based company for three years in 2002-2005, said that in the period of his absence the country has changed a lot, while Yerevan has turned into a whole different city: “Our business in Armenia has flourished along with the country, which is an important achievement.”

Among the guests of the event was Head of the American Chamber of Commerce in Armenia Tigran Jrbashyan, who stressed that Coca-Cola Hellenic Armenia was the first representative of the Greek capital in Armenia and has played a decisive role in terms of economy formation and business development.

“A number of employees of the company later entered into other spheres of activity. Coca-Cola Hellenic Armenia thus became one of those companies that trained the new generation of employees in the fields of sales and management.”

According to Gagik Danielyan, who managed Coca-Cola Hellenic Armenia for eight years, the Company's success is based on the mutually beneficial cooperation with partners over its 20 years of activity, understanding and meeting each other's needs, at the same time contributing to the development of the business.

“In collaboration with our partners we first and foremost sought a sustainable partnership, rather than a short-term profit taking. Today we have partners with whom we have worked for almost 20 years, which proves that we have been able to make the right choice,” Danielyan said.

According to Armine Hovhannisyan, the founder of Orran charitable NGO, which has collaborated with the Company for over 10 years, they are lucky to have Coca-Cola Hellenic Armenia as a partner. This partnership, among others, each year enables them to provide hot food, education and other services to socially vulnerable children.

Greek and US Ambassadors to Armenia as well attended the event and addressed the guests, marking the Company’s achievements over the past 20 years and wishing success in its future endeavors. The employees of Coca-Cola Hellenic Armenia also offered congratulations, wishing the Company to continue building history and making customers happy.

Featuring a sand animation show and a concert, the evening ended with a cake cutting ceremony.
