"Armenia-Iran railway construction should have been launched long ago. This is a serious project which might herald a new Silk Route and allow Armenia to break out of isolation. Geographically, the railway construction is not an easy task, requiring consistence on behalf of RA and Iranian authorities.'' On Mar. 3 in Yerevan a Draft Memorandum of Understanding on Iran-Armenia railway construction was signed between Armenia and Iran.
