PanARMENIAN.Net -

Hydropower plants are not affecting Armenia’s ecology, according to Naira Nahapetyan, chairperson of the Union of Small Hydropower Plants.

“Although some environment protection organizations insist that the work of hydropower plants affects the ecology, there are no violations of international norms in Armenia,” she told reporters in Yerevan on June 7.

“Armenian hydropower plants were certified by U.S. experts,” she added.
