RA State Committee of Real Estate Cadastre to be reformed

PanARMENIAN.Net - During the November 11, the Armenian government approved a concept of reforms in the RA State Committee of the Real Estate Cadastre.

Vice-Chairman of the committee Ashot Musayelyan told a briefing that, as per instruction of Armenian President Serzh Sargsyan, since the beginning of 2010 the State Cadastre has started studying the international experience, including of Holland, Lithuania, Norway and Georgia. Besides, in August a working group was established, which has drafted the concept of reforms.

“The concept aims to improve the quality of services provided to citizens, reducing bureaucratic delays, minimizing visits of citizens to the State Cadastre, as well as automating the structure’s entire system,” he said.

Chairman of the working group Khazhak Karayan noted for his part that the global reforms are aimed at structural changes of the Committee, what will allow optimizing the available resources and reducing administrative costs.

Moreover, according to Karayan, considerable legislative amendments will be implemented. Specifically, the RA Law on State Registration of the Property Rights needs to be amended.

The finally reformed State Committee of the Real Estate Cadastre will operate from January 2012.
