People of various professions engaged in cheese production in Armenia

PanARMENIAN.Net - Head of the Center for Laboratory Experiments at the RA National Institute of Standards Hrach Poghosyan said that around 150 enterprises are engaged in cheese production in Armenia currently.

However, there are not professional cheese makers in the country, Poghosyan told a press conference on December 7.

“People of various professions produce cheese in Armenia,” he said.

According to Poghosyan, cheese that does not comply with a relevant technology is sold in market.

“We even lack a school of cheese makers to educate professionals,” he said.

Moreover, according to the expert, any self-respecting cheese maker would not use dried milk for cheese production.
