Ameriabank lent Armenian SME at amount of $30mln in 2010

PanARMENIAN.Net - Ameriabank Chairman of the Management Board-General Director Artak Hanesyan said that the share of small and medium enterprises (SME) in the total credit portfolio of Ameriabank CJSC makes 25%.

Ameriabank managed to attract $65mln for SME lending in 2010, including funds received from the Eurasian Development Bank (EDB), Hanesyan told a press conference in Yerevan on December 16.

“We have already allocated $30mln as part of SME lending,” he said.

On December 16, Ameriabank CJSC and EDB signed an agreement in Yerevan, under which the Armenian bank will receive a $30mln credit line for financing small and medium enterprises.

Hanesyan added that the credit funds attracted by the bank from its partners amounted to $96mln in 2010, while another $30mln was attracted by the bank from the EDB, bringing the total amount to $126mln.
