Gambling industry pays over AMD 1bln to Armenia’s budget in 2010January 12, 2011 - 16:33 AMT PanARMENIAN.Net - In 2010, the Armenian Ministry of Finance issued licenses for organization of 19 games with wins and four gambling houses. 26 licenses for organization of games with wins and six licenses and one license for organization of lottery were recognized as expired, the Ministry’s press service reported. At the same time, 22 licenses for organization of games with wins, 5 licenses of gambling houses and one license for organization of lottery were suspended. During this period, organizers of games with wins, gambling houses and lotteries were fined at the amount of AMD 13.4mln, 17.5mln and 700,000 respectively. Besides, state duties at the amount of AMD 1,005,000,000 were paid to the state budget as provided by the law. 90 licenses for organization of games with wins, 10 licenses for gambling houses and 3 licenses for organization of lotteries are effective in Armenia as of January 1, 2011.
