Armenia, Iran to cooperate in agriculture

PanARMENIAN.Net - Armenian Minister of Agriculture Sergo Karapetyan discussed with Iranian Ambassador to Armenia Seyed Ali Saghaeyan bilateral cooperation in agriculture.

Karapetyan offered Iran to participate in the program on seed growing development and cereal crops production in Armenia for 2010-2014, the press service of the RA Ministry of Agriculture reported.

For his part, the Iranian Ambassador offered to establish a joint enterprise for sheep breeding and meat production, as well as cooperate in bee-farming and floriculture.

Karapetyan expressed willingness to pay a visit to Iran to familiarize himself with the country’s experience in agriculture on site.
