Italian embassy to encourage export of Armenian goods

PanARMENIAN.Net - There is a disbalance in the trade turnover between Armenia and Italy, as the most part of commodities are imported by Armenia from Italy, with export volumes being too low, Italian ambassador to Armenia said.

In his opening remarks at “Italy-Armenia: a Project for Cooperation” workshop, Bruno Scapini said Armenia can not only import Italian goods but also export the local-manufactured furniture, clothes and agriculture products. “Formation of joint ventures and certification of Armenian products in accordance with EU standards would help the process,” he said.

The trade turnover between Armenia and Italy totaled $127 million, at that Italy’s investments in Armenia reached $3,6 million.
