Paper reveals opposition parliamentary candidate’s assaulter

PanARMENIAN.Net - Gayane Arustamyan, candidate of the opposition Armenian National Congress (ANC) nominated in the 1st constituency was attacked several days ago; a criminal case on bodily injury according to Article 117 of Armenia’s Criminal Code was initiated and preliminary investigation was launched on April 16.

According to Zhoghovurd paper, the man who attacked Arustamyan and ANC proportional candidate Babken Garoyan was identified as Vardan Vardanyan, chairman of the housing community.

Investigation is underway, paper says.
