Dr. Mary Papazian to speak at Genocide event in Connecticut

PanARMENIAN.Net - Dr. Mary A Papazian, President of Southern Connecticut State University, will be the keynote speaker at the annual Armenian Genocide Commemoration which will be held in the House Chambers at the State Capitol on Saturday, April 21, 2012.

According to connecticutplus.com, the announcement was made by State Representative Christopher Wright (D-Bristol), Chairman of the Armenian Genocide Commemoration event.

“I am very pleased that Dr. Papazian will be the keynote speaker at this annual commemoration,” Rep. Wright said. “She assumed the presidency of Southern in February and is a highly respected scholar and administrator. We are proud to have her with us at this solemn event.”

“We invite everyone to join us in remembering the victims and to celebrate the triumph of those who survived,” Rep. Wright said.
