Russia says “12 years behind” in defense electronics![]() April 23, 2012 - 15:54 AMT PanARMENIAN.Net - Russia’s defense electronics are up to 12 years behind foreign analogs, Deputy Prime Minister Dmitry Rogozin said on Monday, April 23, according to RIA Novosti. “The technical level of electronics used in the development and manufacture of military hardware and equipment…is five to 12 year behind that in other countries,” he said. Microelectronics production in Russia is low scale and loss making, and needs government support, he said.
