Justice Ministry probes possibility of compensation for Genocide

PanARMENIAN.Net - Minister of Justice commented on the statements of local and foreign experts suggesting Armenia must demand Turkey for compensation for Genocide perpetrated in Ottoman Empire in 1915.

“At present, I can’t provide any specific information; however, 2 deputy ministers, as international law experts, initiated a research into measures to be undertaken in that regard,” Hrayr Tovmasyan told a PanARMENIAN.Net reporter during a visit to Tsitsernakaberd memorial to Genocide victims.

However, the minister wasn’t confident the results achieved will be satisfactory.
