PROGRAM ARMENIA TO RECEIVE AT LEAST $60 MILLION WITHIN MILLENIUM CHALLENGES PROGRAM

PanARMENIAN.Net - Within the framework of Millenium Challenges US fund at least $60 million will be provided to Armenia, stated Deputy Minister of Finance and Economy of Armenia David Avetisian, Liberty radio station reported. In his words, the program in question is not an ordinary assistance, as it is funds are provided exclusively on the basis of programs that are clearly worked out and presented. At that the more successfully the programs are composed, the more will be the sums allocated, the Deputy Minister noted. During 2-3 months the Armenian Government will engage in preparing them. The main directions of financing in Armenia, as specified by D. Avetisian, will be programs of poverty reduction in the country, specifically those referring to health, education and the social sector.
