TURKISH STATE TELEVISION TO BROADCAST IN LANGUAGES OF NATIONAL MINORITIES

PanARMENIAN.Net - Taking into account the EU's urgent request the Turkish State Television has accepted the offer to carry a broadcast in the languages of the national minorities living in the country. However, as published in Istanbul Marmara Armenian newspaper writes, Turkish Television General Director Shenol Demireoz did not specify the languages the programs will be transmitted in and the date the broadcasting will start. In his words, "the issue will be brought to a close soon".
