RECURRENT MEETING OF SOUTH CAUCASIAN PARLIAMENT SPEAKERS TO BE HELD IN PARIS EARLY JULY

PanARMENIAN.Net - On the initiative of French Senate President Christian Poncelet the recurrent meeting of the South Caucasian Parliament Speakers has been scheduled for July 8, 2004, Azerbaijani Milli Mejlis chairman Murtuz Aleskerov stated at the meeting with France's Ambassador to Azerbaijan Chantal Poiret, sources in Baku reported. In Aleskerov's words, official Baku gives a positive estimate to the initiative, which calls for exchange of opinions on the settlement of regional conflicts by means of developing cooperation. In his turn Mr. Poiret noted that France is interested in the establishment of stability and peace throughout the South Caucasus as well as in the continuation of initiatives directed to development of the parliamentary ties all over the region.
