Former MPs from Prosperous Armenia may leave party – paper

PanARMENIAN.Net - According to 168 Zham daily, ministers from Prosperous Armenia, having sent in resignation, hinted at readiness to leave the party in case of relevant decree by president.

Following party leader Gagik Tsarukyan’s refusal to join the coalition, businessman MPs dropped a hint they may leave the party if necessary.

They fear that business-related problems may arise. However, sources say President Serzh Sargsyan didn’t let them quit the party, the paper claims.

Rumors circulate that weakening of Prosperous Armenia doesn’t favor President Sargsyan’s interests on the eve of the upcoming presidential race.

Both former ministers and businessman MPs were instructed to remain in the party until the elections, the daily says.
