Kerali will replace Asad Alami. Kerali told journalists in Tbilisi that he will continue the WB consistent policy in the region. "We will work on development of the banking system in Azerbaijan, Georgia and Armenia," he said. "WB has a strategic plan for the region and it will be implemented in the future. We will establish contacts with civil society representatives and strategic partners in the region." Kerali will officially take office from July 1. He is a citizen of Uganda and Great Britain. He has experience in regional governance in the countries of South America, Africa, East and South Asia, Central Asia and Europe, according to Trend.
