Elina Danielian, Lilit Mkrtchian lose Fide Women’s Grand Prix round 2 games

PanARMENIAN.Net - Armenian grandmasters Elina Danielian and Lilit Mkrtchian lost Fide Women’s Grand Prix round 2 games to Ju Wenjun and Hou Yifan resp.

At Jermuk-hosted tournament, Nadezhda Kosintseva (Russia), Kateryna Lahno (Ukraine), Ruan Lufei (China) and Humpy Koneru (India) beat Zhao Xue (China), Ekaterina Kovalevskaya (Russia), Munguntuul Batkhuyag (Mongolia), and Nino Khurtsidze (Georgia) respectively.

Humpy Koneru is leading the tournament with 2 points, followed by Ju Wenjun and Hou Yifan.

In round 3, Elina Danielian will face Humpy Koneru, with Lilit Mkrtchian to rival Ruan Lufei.
