YEREVAN MAIN AVENUE CONSTRUCTION WORKS TO BEGIN IN SEPTEMBER 2005

PanARMENIAN.Net - According to the academician Tamanian's project drawn up in the late thirties, the principal avenue of Yerevan should start with the monument to Vardan Mamikonian and end in the street leading to the old constructions of Kond and the children's railway. However the project has not been realized so far. As Mayor of Yerevan Yervand Zakharian stated at today's press conference the construction works are to begin in September 2005 and last for 4-5 years. The construction will be financed at the expense of private investments, as budget financing is not appropriated.
