Italian Deputy FM: we support Armenia’s joining free trade agreement with EUAugust 27, 2012 - 20:32 AMT PanARMENIAN.Net - Italian Under-Secretary of State for Foreign Affairs, Deputy Foreign Minister Marta Dassù came up with a statement at the opening ceremony of Armenian-Italian Commercial Association - Union of Legal Entities. In her speech she voiced hope that Euro zone will withstand the crisis. “Italy retains sufficient export capacity. It maintains strong ties with all the countries of Eastern Partnership (EaP), including Armenia. We support Armenia’s joining free trade agreement with the EU,” she said, noting progress in Armenia-Brussels talks on the issue. Italian official positively assessed Armenia’s economic program on withstanding the existing challenges. “Judging by my meetings with the country’s Foreign Minster, Prime Minister, First Deputy Minister of economy, I can assure that Armenia is a very viable country,” she said. Armenian-Italian Commercial Association, established through support of the Italian Embassy, Armenian authorities and business environment, aims to foster Armenian-Italian economic and trade cooperation. The Association is expected to further join the international network of the Italian Chambers of Commerce Abroad (CCIE).
