Jobless rate drop reported in Armenia

PanARMENIAN.Net - As of September 1, unemployment rate in Armenia decreased by 12,1% against 2011, with the number of the jobless totaling 75,2 trous., according to the head of State Employment Service.

As Sona Harutyunyan noted, the rate of unemployed among women made up 71,7% (45,8 thous. people); the number of unemployed among the youth totals 22,65 thous., while 17,1% is comprised by those aged over 55.

According to the official, 2759 vacancies were posted as of August, exceeding the number of vacancies reported in 2011 by 56,1%.
