IOC head back at work after surgery

PanARMENIAN.Net - IOC President Jacques Rogge has returned to work a month after undergoing hip replacement surgery, The Associated Press reported.

Rogge was back at IOC headquarters in Lausanne on Monday, October 8 for the first time since having the operation in early September.

International Olympic Committee spokeswoman Emmanuelle Moreau says Rogge "is back in the office this morning, chairing a series of internal meetings."

The 70-year-old Rogge had also been working from home in Belgium during his convalescence. Rogge, who was elected IOC president in 2001, will step down when his term expires in September 2013.
