Prosperous Armenia won’t get more than 4 ministerial seats – paper

PanARMENIAN.Net - According to Hraparak daily, Armenian leader Serzh Sargsyan doesn’t intend to fulfill all the demands offered by Prosperous Armenia party in exchange for its support at the presidential election.

The party requested 6 ministerial seats (out of 18) as well as a right to nominate own candidate for Prime Minister’s post.

However, the paper says, Sargzyan won’t be giving the party more than 4 ministerial seats.

Until recently, President Sargyan was ready to provide Prosperous Armenia leader Gagik Tsarukyan or one of his teammates with Deputy Prime Minister’s post. However, Sargsyan’s attitude to the issues above suddenly took a change for the worse. The sources explain the fact by the President’s exasperation over Tsarukyan’s behavior while the latter was trying to play for time, the paper says.

“Whether I need Tsarukyan’s support is a big question here,” President Sargsyan said, according to the paper.
