Car bomb kills at least one in Beirut

PanARMENIAN.Net - At least one person has been killed and several others injured in a suspected car bomb attack in the center of the Lebanese capital, Beirut, according to BBC News.

The explosion badly damaged several buildings in Sassine Square, in the city's Ashrafiya district. It is not clear if an individual was targeted.

Several ambulances have been seen rushing to square and witnesses spoke of seeing at least one body.

Tensions in Lebanon have been rising as a result of the conflict in Syria.
