Armenian Diaspora Minister meets YSU students![]() October 26, 2012 - 20:25 AMT PanARMENIAN.Net - Armenian Diaspora Minister met with the students of Yerevan State University (YSU) Department of Diaspora Studies. Hranush Hakobyan briefed the students on the evolution, development stages and peculiarities of the Armenian Diaspora, as well as Homeland-Diaspora relations. She further presented the ministry’s programs, policy and strategy. The lecture was followed by a Q&A session, with the students raising issues of concern, particularly related to Armenian-Turkish ties, maintenance of Diaspora identity, etc. ![]() ![]() As a result of floods in Armenia’s northern Lori and Tavush provinces, 17 bridges, including five large ones, have collapsed. David Vardanyan is the son of former Karabakh leader Ruben Vardanyan who who is currently imprisoned in Azerbaijan.
