Gunshots heard near Turkish PM’s office

PanARMENIAN.Net - Gunshots have been heard at the Turkish Prime Ministry building in Ankara during a Cabinet meeting headed by Prime Minister Recep Tayyip Erdoğan, according to Hürriyet Daily News.

An armed man reportedly approached the back entrance of the building and fired three blank shots. Security forces intervened immediately and detained the assailant, who was identified as Nuri Başkapan.

The motive for the assault remains unknown.
