Paper: parties unwilling to heed Heritage leader’s call

PanARMENIAN.Net - Armenian political parties seem reluctant to heed Heritage party leader Raffi Hovannisian’s call for backing him as a unified opposition candidate at the presidential elections, Haykakan Zhamanak daily reported.

The paper got a negative reply to the question as to the Armenian National Congress (ANC), ARF Dashnaktsutyun and Prosperous Armenia may support Hovannisian’s call for the upcoming presidential race, with ARFD refusing to answer altogether.

Political expert Armen Badalyan ruled out the possibility of Heritage head’s becoming a president.
