8000 refugees cross Syrian-Turkish border in last 24 hours

PanARMENIAN.Net - About 8000 refugees fleeing violence in Syria crossed into Turkey in the last 24 hours, a Turkish foreign ministry official stated on Friday, Nov 9, bringing the total number of refugees in Turkey to around 120000, Reuters reported.

Besides, Turkish state-run Anadolu agency said that 26 Syrian officers, including 2 generals and 11 colonels, defected from the Syrian military to Turkey overnight.
