27 killed, scores injured in Burma train crash, fire

PanARMENIAN.Net - A train carrying liquid fuel has crashed and burst into flames in central Burma, killing at least 27 people and injuring dozens, according to BBC News.

The train was travelling from the central city of Mandalay to Myiktyina in the north.

Officials say it came off the tracks, then fire broke out in the fuel storage tanks.

Many of those killed were believed to be local residents who had gathered at the scene.
