Oskanian let go in exchange for dropping presidential race - paper

PanARMENIAN.Net - Armenian authorities resolved against taking new legal measures against ex-Foreign Minister Vartan Oskanian, stripped of deputy immunity in fund misappropriation case, Hraparak daily said.

According to the decision, Prosecutor General won’t be requesting the ex-official’s detainment.

Sources say the authorities’ move came as a result of prior agreement. “Oskanian was let go in exchange for Prosperous Armenia’s refusal to nominate him for President,” the paper said.
