Paper says EAU offers no development prospects for Armenia

PanARMENIAN.Net - Former member of the Armenian National Congress (ANC) opposition bloc David Shahnazaryan has dubbed the Eurasian Union (EAU) as a project offering no development prospects for Yerevan, according to 168 Zham daily.

“Armenia must adopt European values. Our country must take the path of establishing democracy and reinforcing European values,” Shahnazaryan said.

Asked if joining the EAU will hinder Armenia’s EU integration, he noted that the two contradict one another, the paper says.
