Heritage leader says ready to quit presidential race if needed

PanARMENIAN.Net - Heritage has always been open to cooperation, the party leader said.

As Raffi Hovannisian told a November 28 news conference, “Heritage office hosted a meeting with representatives of Prosperous Armenia party, and such meetings may continue. We expect Armenia’s political forces to announce the format of their participation in presidential race, as Heritage has clearly voiced its position on the issue.”

Dwelling on a unified opposition candidate, Hovannisian, currently the only presidential hopeful, noted, “I’ll welcome any support and am ready to confirm my candidacy or quit the presidential race if my decisions will help change current situation.”
