Armenia, Turkmenistan to organize joint business forum in 2013

PanARMENIAN.Net - Armenian President Serzh Sargsyan summed up the results of his meeting with his Turkmen counterpart Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedow.

As the Armenian leader noted, prospects of trade and economic cooperation were discussed, with the necessity to realize the full potential of bilateral ties mutually stressed.

President Sargsyan further expressed hope for an Armenian-Turkmen intergovernmental committee for economic cooperation to boost trade turnover between the countries.

As the President noted, an agreement was reached to form favorable conditions for development of trade, industrial and investment cooperation, as well as promote direct ties between the two countries’ business entities.

In conclusion, the President accepted Mr. Berdimuhamedow’s suggestion to organize a joint Turkmenistan-hosted business forum next year.
