Ameria CJSC implementing “Court Monitoring Services” project

PanARMENIAN.Net - Ameria CJSC is implementing “Court Monitoring Services” project financed by the World Bank.

The project aims at elaboration of a court monitoring methodology based on best international practice and introduction of court monitoring system in Armenia. It aims at higher efficiency, transparency and accountability of judicial operations and services, improved awareness of judicial services, access to legal and judicial information strictly following the principle of independence of judicial system.

As Senior Consultant at Ameria Group Tigran Grigoryan noted, the outcomes of the monitoring methodology will be summarized in the coming 2-3 months.

“We are hopeful that the project will be a success, considering the involvement of all the parties concerned in its development,” he said.

Director of Judicial Reform Project Implementation Unit Arthur Tunyan, in turn, noted the initiative as a priority for reform implementation in the field, stressing the need for formation of new instruments to reveal the oversights and boost the transparency and efficiency level.

Mr. Tunyan further stressed the absence of accurate data on the operation of the judicial system, particularly with regard to the efficiency of the field and state expenditures, etc.
